The number of guests is the biggest factor in deciding your dancefloor size. Not everyone will dance at the same time, so we generally recommend planning for around 40–50% of guests to be on the floor together.
Quick guide:
Up to 50 guests → 10ft x 10ft (3m x 3m)
60–80 guests → 12ft x 12ft (3.6m x 3.6m)
80–120 guests → 14ft x 14ft (4.3m x 4.3m)
130–150 guests → 16ft x 16ft (4.9m x 4.9m)
160+ guests → 18ft x 18ft or larger
