How to lay out your wedding or party venue
A good layout makes the whole night flow. Guests find the bar, the dancefloor fills up and the photos look amazing. Here are the things worth thinking about as you plan.
Make the dancefloor the centre
Put the dancefloor where everyone can see it, with the DJ right next to it. A dancefloor tucked in a corner tends to stay empty.
Keep the bar close, but not too close
Near enough that people drift between the bar and the dancefloor, but not so close that the queue blocks it.
Leave clear walkways
Guests, staff and caterers all need to move around easily, especially near doors, the bar and the toilets.
Plan your photo spot
A flower wall, sequin backdrop or light-up letters near the entrance or the dancefloor becomes the place everyone has their photo taken.
