Short answerIt can at some venues, so always check with your venue before booking. Some venues can isolate the detectors in your room for the evening.
More about smoke & haze
Yes, it can. Smoke, haze and fog can all trigger smoke detectors at some venues, and it depends on the type of detector and how the room is set up. We can't tell from here whether your venue's system will react, so please ask them before you book. It's worth asking early, because some venues need notice to arrange things.
Many venues can isolate the detectors in your room for the evening, which means the machine can run without setting anything off. If yours can do that, get it agreed ahead of the event rather than on the night. If they can't, or would rather not, tell us. We can talk through which effect suits your event best.
That choice matters too. Haze makes lighting beams visible, smoke gives bursts of atmosphere, and low fog creates a cloud effect across the floor. Tell us about your event and we'll suggest the right one. Prices start from £35 including VAT, and we deliver, set up and collect.
