The Grove is a hotel in The grove. It’s one of the venues we supply regularly, and we’ve set up weddings, birthdays and celebrations there.
Hotels are some of the easiest places to throw a big celebration: guests can stay over, the bar and catering are on hand, and the events team has seen it all before. The flip side is that a hotel function room is usually a neutral space designed to suit everyone, so the entertainment and styling you bring in is what makes it feel like your event rather than the one the night before.

Planning your setup at The Grove
Talk to the events team about your room early
Hotels often have more than one function space, and each has its own layout, ceiling height and access route. Once you know which room you’ve booked, tell us. We’ll suggest where the dancefloor, DJ and photo spot fit best, and agree access and setup times directly with the venue so you don’t have to.
Plan around the hotel’s timings
Hotels run to a timetable: room turnarounds, other events in the building and a finish time for music. We set up before your guests arrive, work quietly around the hotel team, and collect at the agreed time, so your evening flows from the meal into the party without a gap.

You don’t need room for every guest on the dancefloor. At most weddings and parties, around a third to a half of your guests are dancing at any one time, so it’s best to size it for the busiest moment of the night: the first dance or the last half hour.
